Last time, we studied about the shopping area in SF.
The reason why I'm posting about a shopping is holiday season is coming again. We just passed the black Friday last week. But, from Black friday until Christmas, they always make a good deal:)
If u have a shopping knowhow, U would be much happier with bargains!!
This time, I am gonna share with you guys about the way of smart shopping in SF, Good bargain stores.
R u excited? GOGOGO, yay yay!!
1. Ross
If you have been to the USA, I think there is no one who doesn't know this store. It is a chain of American off-price department stores and the third of largest off-price retailer in the United States.
Ross has almost everything so It is really useful for you to get daily necessities especially when you move to San Francisco at first and buy stuffs like a blanket, covers, pillows, body showers, socks, shoes, bag, carrier etc with a super reasonable price. Of course, they are not new products but pretty good with that beautiful price. They cannot treat all the brands but sometimes u can get a good renowned brand product like Michael Kors. Also, body shower, branded shampoo and leave-in conditioner, body butter, lip treatment(Burt's bee) are being sold here. Way cheaper than Korea, right?
But, I cannot find any good clothing there. It doesn't look like a good quality so I don't buy clothing there except some sportswear. I don't recommend clothes much from there but sometimes they have designer section which offers a little better quality than others with good prices.
** Recommended Items: Sportswear, Daily necessities(Linens, pillow, shampoo&conditioner, body shower, body lotion, hand cream, socks..) shoes, bags, Carrier, iPhone accessories and an earphone, cups, coffee, watch, sunglasses(not the section with a lot of sunglasses, but small rack where you should ask worker for a try), Hair dryer and iron etc.

2. Marshalls
Pretty the same concept to Ross. However, U have more options than before now. I haven't bought much from here but it's pretty good. U can compare between them but personally I prefer Ross more. It's not far from the Ross just a block away so that you could check them too at once.

3. Loehmann's, Shoes &Bag
I think u guys don't know much about this store. For international students or someone who just got here, it would be a new great news !!
Located in Financial district, it is best known for its "Back Room,"where women interested in fashion can find designer clothes at prices lower than in department or specialty stores. In recent years, they have expanded its offerings to include shoes, accessories, and men's products.
I compared Loehmann's to Marshall and Ross. In my opinion, Accessories(They even have Swarovski),bags(Branded bags),shoes and Hair Products(Here is the best!) are better than them but it's hard to get a good clothes. But, at least better than Ross and Marshall regarding clothes.
Another good thing here is they have different kinds of bargains during holiday seasons. For example, all goods were marked down by 40% from already discounted prices on Black Friday even though Ross didn't have many good deals on that day. They are preparing another good deals from Nov 8th through Nov 12th that you can check them if you need something. Unfortunately, they don't sell daily necessities at all.
** Hours
M-F, 9 - 8
Sat 9:30 - 8
Sun 11 - 7
*Plus!! If you create a gold membership card($25), U can get a 10% discount whenever u purchase something. If you stay here for a while, I would recommend to make one and pay them off enough.
*One more Tip! You can read fashion magazines for free for 3 months as a trial. After 3 months, u can cancel them so U can make the most of it. I will have to cancel them soon haha:)

4. DSW, Footwear retailer
This is a speciality branded footwear retailer, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. There are lots of different shoes like high heels, flat shoes, boots and bags etc. Better quality than Ross and other shops because they are only focusing on footwear products. It is located nearby Union Square so u cannot miss it.
5. Payless - shoesource
I don't go much because I couldn't find any fancy style from here but if you need just cheaper one, then go for it. It's really cheap and basic style is fine to wear in normal days. Sometimes, they also offer a good deal and you can buy 1 and get 1 for free. Pretty good deal. Located at the Powell station.
6. T.J.Maxx
It was a lunch break time when I found this store. At that time, I have no idea about this store but I realized soon this store looked like Ross, something like that. They offer designer and brand name fashion for women, men, teens, kids and baby for up to 60% off department store prices everyday. Something is a little more expensive than Ross but depends on products. I heard someone found branded heels cheaper than outlet from here. I know it's a little bit tired but, If u go and compare more and more, U can be a wise purchaser;)
7. Burlington Coat factory
On the way back home, Sometimes I walked down the street to the Market street for shopping. I was curious what it is so went inside. It looked like a warehouse and is offering good deals. Personally, I don't like clothes from this kinda off-price department because I can't find any stylish one. But, basic branded items are always good with this price. Here I think home decor and especially Travel luggage is really good with nice design and brand with a reasonable price. Before leaving from the USA, if you need a luggage, go to this place. A little bit cheaper than Ross.
*Product : Luggage, Coats, outerwear, apparel, shoes, accessories, baby clothes, furniture, home decor items, and gifts
